Parents,

My name is Miss Higgins.  I have a degree in Mathematics from Auburn University, and I am currently working toward a Masters in Math Education at the University of Montevallo.  I grew up and still live in Rock Creek, a community outside of Bessemer.  I have a passion for teaching Math in the classroom and Christ at all times.  I know that my calling is to teach high school students, and God has put the desire of my heart to match that calling.  I promise to work with your students and with you until they succeed in math, an area that is difficult for so many students.  I believe that everything we do, we do it for the glory of God, and that includes learning mathematics.  I hope to convey this to students.

On this blog you will find a link to the calendars for each class (to the right).  These are updated each time a new assignment is given (HW, for example, will be updated daily).  It will show every assignment that is due for the students, including tests, quizzes, etc.  The link will take you to today's date, but you can also navigate to a weekly or monthly view.  Your child will learn to check this blog regularly, because (in addition to the calendar) I will be posting activities under the tabs for their classes about once a week for them to complete.
